Delivering for you: updated 1st April 2020

We are updating this Blog on a daily basis.

Please be aware of the new rules and guidelines that are affecting all those working in the food and drink sector. It means they are operating under very difficult conditions to protect their own teams as well as customers – and under very strict rules.

If they don’t adhere to them – they could be closed down … so please be considerate, be patient and allow extra time for planning, for ordering as well as for delivery/collection. More information can be found later in our Blog.

Thank you.

Cupar’s Troopers: Working together …

These are very challenging times – but we have been blown away by the community spirit of those wanting to help. This Blog is the first of what we are sure will be a number that we will share over the coming days and weeks to update all on issues surrounding the Coronavirus and how it is impacting on our town, residents, businesses, community groups, schools, college, health and social care partnerships as well as on those planning to visit.

CuparNow has won the ‘Digital Impact Award‘ at this year’s Good Retail Awards.

CuparNow shortlisted for UK Digital Impact Award

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the ‘Digital Impact Award‘ at this year’s Good Retail Awards.  The awards celebrate those making a positive impact in the retail industry and will be handed out at the Spring Fair (at Birmingham’s NEC) on the 4th February.

Singing for their supper …

Cupar’s Amateur Musical Society has teamed up with CuparNow, the town’s new Digital Improvement District, to help promote and sell the Society’s upcoming production.

We’re on YouTube

CuparNow is on YouTube. We are adding to the digital platforms we’re managing to best support businesses and organisations in the town. YouTube has some 1.9 billion users worldwide. In the UK, it is the second most popular social media channel with just over 37 million adults. The average viewing session is now 40 minutes – up 50% in just 12 months.

Businesses across Cupar have voted “emphatically” to back CuparNow and create the world’s first Digital Improvement District. At this week’s count – of the businesses and organisations who cast their votes – more than 60% gave their support …

Fair minded …

CuparNow is ‘by business, for business‘ – but we know and appreciate none of the town’s businesses would thrive were it not for the incredible community spirit that abounds in the town. There’s a multitude of groups and organisations that collaborate and work hard to enhance the Cupar experience. We caught up with Margaret Lawrence, Chair of Cupar Fair Trade, to discover more about their work …

A more caring Cupar …

Part of CuparNow’s remit is to demonstrate just how improved digital connectivity can best support multiple audiences in our town. Over a number of months, we have championed the work of Ruth McCabe and the the work she is delivering for Dementia Friendly Fife. The project – overseen by Fife Health & Social Care Partnership – exists to train companies and organisations to be ‘dementia friendly’ so they can demonstrate to those affected by dementia that they will receive a warm and understanding welcome.

Since we started featuring the programme, we are delighted more businesses and organisations in Cupar have taken part and won their certificates. We hope this wee update helps to spread the word more …

Sowing the seeds of success ….

Anyone visiting Cupar this summer cannot have missed the stunning floral displays that bedeck Cupar’s public gardens, streets, windowsills, railings and more. Much of this work is down to the small army of volunteers who make up Cupar in Bloom. We caught up with them … to dig a little deeper …
