Bowled over by success!
A record night of fundraising has been reported by Cupar and Howe of Fife Twinning Association whose members and guests braved the worst of the weather to join a ‘pub quiz’ held at Cupar Bowling Club.
Pauline Galloway of the Twinning Association reports: “The club kindly hosted the much-needed fundraiser and supplied hot and cold snacks at half time.”
Between the entry and raffle tickets sales, £141 was raised. Pauline adds: “Not only have we raised much needed funds for the association, but the event also helped to raise the profile of twinning. We are bowled over by the support!”
And Pauline is keen to point out the Bowling Club’s part in the event’s success saying: “It was a new venue for some people who have lived in Cupar a long time and were unaware the Club could be booked for functions – so we’re happy to have helped to raise the club’s profile too.”
