ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management

Company Directors Rick Bond and Jeff Lockhart founded STAMC with the aim of merging their respective experiences to create responsive and applicable training and development opportunities.

Rick worked for 30 years within the further and higher education sector as a senior manager, running a faculty, delivering Leadership and Management courses and developing quality assurance strategies with international partners.

Jeff hailed from a background in Finance where, as a Director, one of his specialisms was in international trade and compliance.

Their combined breadth of experience has allowed STAMC to develop programmes in the following areas:

Celebrating a decade …

The end of July marks an important milestone for STAMC as they will be celebrating their ten-year anniversary having launched in July 2013.

Rick says: “Originally working out of a one-room office in Kirkcaldy, it wasn’t long before we outgrew this space as new team members joined the company. The decision was made to move to Cupar where we spent a very happy five years at the Westport Business Centre. With this move we acquired a dedicated training space and were able to deliver courses to candidates from the comfort of our own training room.”

Jeff adds: “During our time in Cupar, STAMC continued to garner experience delivering courses to a range of sectors, including Local Authorities, Golf, Sports and Leisure, Third Sector organisations, Engineering, Construction, the NHS, and Care Sector.”

In 2020, the expanding company once again required a move and STAMC took residency at 14 St Catherine’s Street, Cupar.

And it is to 14 St Catherine’s Street that they will soon be welcoming their most recent cohort of candidates. Jeff explains: “For managers looking to develop leadership skills and gain an internationally recognised qualification, STAMC will soon be running our ILM Level 5 Certificate and Diploma in Leadership and Management program. This course is delivered through highly interactive workshops in our Cupar Training Centre and supported by our enthusiastic and highly experience team.”

There are still a few places available on the next program which starts on the 28th August 2023.

The Level 5 Certificate consists of three units:

• Leading Innovation and Change
• Making a Financial Case
• Understanding the Skills, Principles and Practice of Effective Coaching and Mentoring within an Organisational Context

Rick adds: “Why not study for the complete Diploma? The Diploma includes the three modules of the Certificate, plus an additional two units.”

• Improving Own Leadership Performance Through Action Learning
• Managing Own Continuing Professional Development
