Cupar Training Provider Celebrates Council Learners Success

Cupar-based training provider, St Andrews Management Centre, is celebrating the success of seven of their candidates as they achieved their ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management.

All the candidates were from Fife Council’s middle-management team and were undertaking the qualification, delivered by St Andrews Management Centre (STAMC) as part of Fife Council’s programme of workforce development.

The ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management is a work-based qualification which candidates undertake alongside their roles at Fife Council. Learning is embedded and put into practise by the candidates through a series of work-based assessments that the candidates use to demonstrate they have met the requirements of the qualification.

Their achievement was celebrated at a small ceremony on Thursday 21st October at the St Andrews Management Centre (STAMC) offices on St Catherine Street. Candidates were presented with their certificates by Councillor Karen Marjoram who attended the event.

STAMC Director, Rick Bond, praised the candidates for their hard work: “Despite the challenges that COVID threw at the group, they stuck to the task in hand and completed the programme with a high degree of professionalism and commitment and I can only commend them for doing so. They are a credit to Fife Council.

The successful candidates were Donna Claire Cook, Avril Graham, Scott Paberz, Damien Pedrick, Lyndsey Radke and Carlene Simpson.
