Cupar Development Trust is working with a collaboration of community partners to deliver a unique lecture to be delivered via Zoom on Wednesday 27th October at 7pm – and it is free to all.
World leaders will soon arrive in Glasgow for COP26. It is to be hoped they will make commitments for the future benefit of the world-wide environment. In the week before COP26, Cupar & District welcomes, as the speaker at its Annual Lecture, the world-renowned expert on Climate and Resilience, Professor Sir Ian Boyd, FRS, FRSE, FRSB.

Sir Ian will address the challenges facing small communities, and the opportunities they have. Communities, being local and collaborative, can contribute to solving mankind’s greatest crisis. They can also meet the needs of their own communities in these post-Covid times.

Bill Pagan, Chair of Cupar Development Trust, adds: “There is nothing which should capture our attention more than the implications of climate change and the interests and well-being of our future generations.  It is all too easy to shrug off the messages, and leave it to others. As a caring community, Cupar & District wants to be better informed, empowering all to make better decisions.”
