Gordon is a golfer and, as any golfer knows, your game benefits from experience and attention to detail. The same applies in Gordon’s work – focusing on each and every client’s needs when it comes to financial planning. Gordon explains: “I’ve spent my entire career in financial services.” That experience is so valuable when it comes to helping clients.

A director of RS Robertson Financial Planning – on Crossgate in Cupar – the firm provides financial planning advice for every life stage. Gordon says: “We make it easier for you to manage your finances, with personal, face-to-face advice designed to meet your long-term requirements.”

The firm has several financial advisors. Gordon adds: “We have a broad depth of experience to suit a wide variety of clients and their financial goals. Currently a team of eight – but expanding all the time – there’s also a wealth of support behind Gordon and his team. Away from the office, Gordon is a keen golfer: “When I’m not at work, I’m improving my golf swing of course! You’ll often find me at Ladybank or St Andrews Golf Clubs. That’s where I like to relax and meet up with friends.”

And as with all of our KnowHow features, we asked Gordon what he would recommend to anyone visiting Cupar for the first time – or for the first time in a long time: “If golf isn’t your thing, everyone needs to take a trip to Fisher & Donaldson to try their legendary fudge doughnuts. The main shop at Ceres Road is an absolute feast for the eyes. I’d recommend sitting in, having a coffee and trying out some of their delicacies, savoury and sweet!”
