Support for Castlehill Community Association
Number 11 St Catherine Street in Cupar is currently owned by Fife Council. The local authority is looking to sell the property as the premises are no longer seen as fit for purpose. Castlehill Community Association would like everyone’s support for their campaign. They are looking to raise funds that will improve the association’s current premises to accommodate those in the property that will be sold. Can you give your support?
The Association is a SCIO (a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation). The improvements they are planning will mean that all groups will be able to run their activities from the one site.
The association will benefit greatly from having the community’s views on this project and, to this end, they have a Survey Monkey that you can access via this link. If yu have a spare minute or two, please feel free to add your views.
Beyond this, they’re seeking as much community support as possible – and have launched a petition that is gathering names from supporters across the town in good, old fashioned hard copies in various locations. We said we’d help with an online version …
These are the official words from the petition:
“Fife Council wish to sell the St Catherine Street premises as they are no longer fit for purpose due to number of building problems. Castlehill Community Association are in the process of raising funds to progress a project to extend their main Castlehill Building to accommodate Cupar Camera Club and Cupar Pre-School Playgroup … and refurbish the building to allow greater use of the hall by current user groups and new group.“
Interested?
We, the undersigned support the proposed Castlehill Community Association Project …
