Dementia Awareness Week – Get Involved
Dementia Awareness Week runs from 3-9 June this year – and we’re getting involved to help make everyone aware …
During the week, Alzheimer Scotland will be raising awareness of the importance of dementia research, the impact it can have and the vital need for new research volunteers. Alzheimer Scotland also want to ensure that more people than ever have access to the right care, information and support, and to spread the word about dementia.
We’re supporting the Older Adult Mental Health Service in Fife to ask everyone to get actively involved. They will be hosting a Strawberry Vintage Tea at Stratheden Hospital on Saturday 8 June from 1-4pm. They’re planning to invite patients and carers and want to extend an open invitation to the Cupar community so that we can all help to raise awareness, share information and provide helpful contacts and support for people. We will share more as we count down to the event.
Help support people living with dementia now and in the future
There are over 90,000 people living with dementia in Scotland. There’s never been a more crucial time to support dementia research. Only through research can we learn more about dementia prevention and improve the quality of life for those living with dementia.
So the countdown to Dementia Awareness Week has begun. See how you can get on board …
