Every year the nation unites to make sure that no-one is forgotten, and to remember and honour those who have sacrificed themselves to secure and protect our freedom.

An update on Remembrance Sunday – Cupar British Legion

Cupar Branch, Royal British Legion Scotland is pleased to announce that we will be reverting to our tried and tested format for Remembrance Sunday this year.

We are extremely grateful to Police Scotland for providing officers to support the road closure that enables the parade to take place.
We extend an invitation to all interested parties, to attend the Service of Remembrance being held on Sunday 10th November 2024, at the Cupar War Memorial at 10.30am.
As in previous years, there will be a parade from the Fluthers Car Park to the War Memorial.
Uniformed bodies only should assemble in the Fluthers Car Park for 10.15am, under the direction of the Parade Marshall.
All other parties should assemble at the War Memorial in time for the start of the Service and disperse under their own arrangement thereafter. It would be appreciated if those parties who wish to lay a wreath could form up to the front right of the War Memorial and will be called forward in turn to lay their wreath.

11th of the 11th …

In addition, members of the Legion will hold a small Service in the Garden of Remembrance, St John’s Church, Cupar on Monday 11th November, beginning at 10.45am. Members of the public are invited to attend. Wooden crosses are available for purchase at the church gates.
