Employability Officer
Bell Baxter High School is looking for a committed Employability Officer who is “passionate about improving life chances for all, so that children and young people can achieve their full potential“. As the school’s Employability Officer, you will work under the direction and supervision of a Depute Headteacher (or other senior member of staff) being part of a team to support individual young people gain work experience and employment.
You will be required to work proactively with other members of the team to …
- Promote, administer and deliver training courses that help young people upskill.
- Assist them to access and sustain employment.
- Support the learners, staff and other stakeholders to engage with employers, in order to promote opportunity for participants to gain work experience and employment.

The Person
The right candidate will be Educated to SCQF level 6, which includes Highers or SVQ level 3 or equivalent and will have a working knowledge of Vocational Qualifications.
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
