Lewis Sharp founded Sharp I.T. Solutions in 2016 and has a small office on Ladywynd, Cupar.

The company provides a range of IT services – both residential and commercial. These include:

  • Installing & maintaining computer networks including wifi for small to medium businesses and setting up Guest wifi for public areas/shops/caravans parks/small hotels/General offices
  • Data Recovery
  • Setting up Domain names & Email
  • Software Support
  • Remote Support
  • Sales of all types of computer/laptops (PC & MAC) & including providing all the hardware and installing or upgrading existing systems to be up-to-date
  • Fix & Repair both desktop computers and laptops

Lewis grew up in Cupar and has always had an interest in technology. He bought his first computer and it arrived with a faulty floppy disk: remember those? Rather than send the PC back for repair and have to wait another 6 weeks, he decided that he would just look to repair it himself – which clearly he did.

Since then, he studied Electronics at Fife College and after graduating from there, he worked for a local IT company for years where he built on his knowledge and gained invaluable experience.

Leap of Faith

In September 2016, he took the leap of faith and went out on his own – and has been enjoying growing the business ever since. Lewis prides himself on providing a personable service and building good relationships with all his clients. He likes to take time to understand each client’s particular requirements and will take time to give a detailed explanation of what he will be doing and why he is recommending a particular course of action.’? He goes the extra mile when needed – whether it is out of hours support or just simply by giving a bit of advice.

Sharp I.T. is very much Lewis’ business although he does employ other experts when required.’? He says that setting up the business was daunting but it has allowed him to grow in confidence – both personally and in the business.

Turning Dreams into Reality

Away from the Office & IT, Lewis lists his greatest achievement of being in a position to buy his first home and also a motorhome – distant dreams he’d held for a long time but now realised! Lewis took off in his motorhome through France & Spain and managed to celebrate his daughter’s first birthday with a visit to the Spanish Grand Prix. Apparently Luna loved it!
