Continuing Care is a registered Charity in North East Fife comprising a team of volunteers who provide transport  for people with mobility problems, and a befriending service for those in need of support and company.

Candidates should have the personal skills to relate to a variety of volunteers, and some experience in dealing with elderly and vulnerable clients.

The post is mainly home based, but a clean driving license is important for visiting clients.

Familiarity with digital technology and record keeping is essential.

About the employer

Continuing Care Service (North East Fife) was established in 1980 by two MacMillan nurses who helped cancer patients to get to their important hospital appointments. Our service is built upon a doctrine of helping local residents get to all types of medical appointments, especially in areas that are not renowned for good hospital transport facilities, such as rural areas. Approximately 2 years ago The Scottish Ambulance Service, the original first point of call, started to cut back on the availability of their service to the public at large, limiting their service to those of the greatest medical need. They now refer the clients they can not help to Continuing Care - As a result, many people require our help. We are a registered charity with forty years experience, striving to cater to the needs of those who require reliable transportation to and from health related or any associated social appointments.
