Small Business Saturday
Saturday 3rd December is Small Business Saturday. We promote local shopping year round, but the first Saturday in December every year is recognised as a promotion nationwide to push small, local businesses … so we’re very happy to put our shoulder to that campaign!
You can find information on this Blog that covers all of our business listings … some 400+ businesses across Cupar …
SHOPPING: there are more than 70 shops across Cupar selling everything from antiques, arts and crafts to electrical goods, home and hardware. Convenience stores and supermarkets plus fashion and accessories with boutiques – plus unique independents where you’ll find books, haberdashery, jewellery, toys and much more! Click here for more.
As a wee profile, take Scott’s Ladieswear on Bonnygate. The business celebrated its 115th anniversary this year and we covered them as part of our ‘Year of Stories’ feature.
The store is taking part in the upcoming Small Business Saturday, offering customers mulled wine and shortbread throughout the day. Claudine Scott – great granddaughter of the shop’s founder – explains: “We will be offering 10% off ALL STOCK when you spend £50 or more on the day in store and online.”
The store has all new stock in for the season ahead – Christmas socks for ladies and gents, cosy, festive pyjamas, slippers and dressing gowns, knitwear, hats and gloves as well as scarves from well known brands, including Dents and Pia Rossini. Claudine adds: “We also have a beautiful collection of jewellery, wonderful Harris Tweed accessories – including bags, keyrings and purses – and can also offer our own Gift Vouchers made up to any value and valid for a full year from purchase.” You can find more via their Facebook page – or call them on 01334 653163
