Meldrums knows garden machinery and equipment “inside out”. Based at their showroom and workshop on Cupar’s Eden Valley Business Park, they promote themselves as “the number one choice for customers in Fife, Dundee, Perth and Edinburgh – and online customers throughout the UK.”

The company prides itself on offering a full range of services covering all aspects of garden machinery and equipment – from sales (new and used) and hire to servicing and repairs. Director, Bob McConnell says: “We are Scotland’s leading STIHL supplier and stockists of over 12 renowned garden brands including Cub Cadet, Honda, Mountfield, Countax and Stiga with hundreds of products across a variety of categories.”

Bob adds: “We carry a vast range of spare parts in-house and our specialist workshop provides lifetime servicing for all products – from annual services to emergency repairs. Your garden machinery and equipment will always be safe in the hands of our highly skilled team.”

The company employs seven full time staff and has a long track history. We asked when Meldrums began: “We are a second generation family business currently in our fifth decade, so that’s lost in the mists of time!” says Bob, adding: “But throughout our company’s history, we have always believed in offering customers a great local service that’s reliable, trusted and good value.”

As with all our Blog profiles, we asked what Meldrums would recommend for anyone visiting Cupar for the first time – or for the first time in a long time: “A visit to Cairnie Fruit Farm is always a fun visit and you can definitely lose yourself in the Mega Maze! Muddy Boots just outside Cupar is another must, especially for families – and Fisher & Donaldson’s roof top vintage car is a must see, quickly followed by a cake and a cuppa in the bakery cafe!”
