Support for those living with Dementia
The Life Changes Trust is seeking to invest £150,000 in small grants across the NHS Fife region for projects that will “support people living with dementia, and unpaid carers of people with dementia“.
The grants are aimed at “small, community groups” and are not intended for larger/national organisations.
The Trust says: “We want to encourage small groups to apply for funding, especially if they have never received a grant before. We know that all over Scotland, many people with dementia and unpaid carers look to small groups in their local community for support, and we want to use these grants to support them.”
If you’ve never applied for funding before – don’t worry. The Trust is on hand to help. They told us: “In our previous five rounds of regional small grants, the Trust has funded a number of organisations who have never previously received any sort of grant-funding.” So you might not have a lot of experience in applying for funding … you may have never received a grant before, but don’t let that stop you or your organisation asking for help. Get in touch and they will be glad to reassure you.
Organisations can apply for funding of between £2,000 and £15,000 for projects lasting up to 18 months. A local organisation or individual will be appointed to oversee and support the collaborative working and shared learning of the small grants recipients. The following is shared by the Trust and takes you through the process, step by step …
Who may apply?
Creating Better Lives in Fife will use the following approach: ‘By local people, for local people’. We welcome applications from projects and organisations which are based in, and working in, their local area. Your project work must be taking place within the NHS Fife region.
