Professor Murray Pittock MAE FRSE

• Murray Pittock is a Professor and Pro Vice-Principal of Special Projects at the University of Glasgow.
• Worked at many other universities including Edinburgh, Oxford, Aberdeen, and Strathclyde.
• Held diverse visiting appointments including in New York, Prague, and Dublin.
• One of the few UK academics to be a prize lecturer of both the RSE and the British Academy.

In addition to being a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, he is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland and an Honorary Fellow of the Association for Scottish Literary Studies.

He has advised both the National Trust for Scotland and National Galleries Scotland.
