Cupar’s Minor Injuries Unit

A resident of Cupar or the town’s rural catchment? Fife Health and Social Care Partnership wants your feedback via a survey on the future of the Minor Injuries Unit at the Adamson Hospital. This is part of what the partnership say is their work to “modernise and transform health and social care services, to ensure that services are safe, effective and person centred“. If you, your family, friends or colleagues have had need to use the unit or would like to give feedback on your thoughts for the unit’s future, please take a moment to complete their online survey.

A “clinically led Options Appraisal process” has been carried out for the Minor Injuries Care Units at Adamson Hospital in Cupar as well as at the St Andrews Community Hospital. They looked at ways to “optimise patient care” and “ensure the sustainability of the service for the future“.

Now the Partnership seeks your feedback via a short survey – the results of which will help them to shape the future service provision and support. Simply click on this link or the block below to open the online survey.

Why are changes being considered?

The clinically led Options Appraisal was carried out to ensure that our Minor Injuries Care Service in North East Fife is:

  • Providing high-quality patient care efficiently.
  • Fit for purpose and able to meet clinical needs.
  • Delivered sustainably within available workforce and financial resources.

The clinically led Options Appraisal process identified three options for the future of Minor Injuries Care Service in North East Fife. By optimising services, this will “help improve clinical outcomes, make better use of resources, and provide a more sustainable model for the future.”

The survey shares these options with you, highlights the “preferred clinical choice” and captures your feedback on what this option might mean for you.

The survey has three sections and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete:

  • Section 1 – What are the changes being considered?
  • Section 2 – What will this mean for you?
  • Section 3 – Final Thoughts

All information collected will be anonymised, and individuals will not be identified.
