Covid-19 Community Support: updated 16th April 2020

The generosity of folk across Cupar – individuals, businesses and organisations – is incredible. So many people are stepping up with offers of help. This Blog lists some of the organisations you can contact to offer your help – whether in time as a volunteer, or financially to assist with fund raising support. We will keep this updated to add new information as and when we receive it …

Cupar Foodbank is doing an incredible job of supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Please visit and then follow the foodbank’s new Facebook page by clicking on the image below …

Helping Cupar Foodbank

The project’s manager, Joe Preece, is working with a reduced number of volunteers on site – due to social distancing and the need for some of their regulars to self isolate. They are working very hard to meet the demand and Joe tells us he has been “blown away” by the support the Cupar community is providing. But there’s always more we can do.

Big or small, every gift helps to transform lives. The town’s foodbank is run by local people for local people – and they rely on the community’s support to ensure they can continue to stop people going hungry. They have a number of options available to those who wish to donate:

  • Regular giving (standing order) with gift aid: please download their Gift Aid Form.
  • One-off gifts: you can make donations by BACS / Direct Debit using these details:
    • Branch: RBS, Glenrothes
    • Sort Code: 83-17-23
    • Account Number: 00269012
  • Legacy: a single gift could secure someone’s future: contact the Foodbank via this link to find out more.

Need more on the Foodbank? Read a Blog we published last October that explains more on their work.
